Firefighters receive specialized training on electric vehicles extrication & rescue techniques.

30 fire service personnel are undergoing training on how to rescue accident victims trapped inside electric vehicles. The exercises are being facilitated by Firefighters Without Borders Canada. With the global energy transition, EVs are becoming more common on roads worldwide. However, due to their flammability, and risk of electric shock, these vehicles may pose a unique challenge for first responders.
